Z Score to P-Value Calculator

This calculator converts Z-scores to p-values using the standard normal distribution.

About Z-Scores

A Z-score (or standard score) indicates how many standard deviations an element is from the mean. A Z-score of 0 represents an element equal to the mean. A Z-score of 1 represents an element that is 1 standard deviation above the mean.

Formula

Z = (X - μ) / σ

Where X is the value, μ is the population mean, and σ is the standard deviation.

Interpreting P-Values

  • p < 0.05: Statistically significant
  • p < 0.01: Highly significant
  • p < 0.001: Very highly significant
  • p ≥ 0.05: Not statistically significant
